Shoshana Bennett, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, is a pioneer in the field of parental depression and its effects on children. She is the author of Postpartum Depression for Dummies (2007) and Pregnant on Prozac (2009), and is co-author of Children of the Depressed (2014), Beyond the Blues: Understanding and Treating Prenatal and Postpartum Depression & Anxiety (2011). She is also the creator of the mobile phone app PPD Gone! which provides advice and strategies to cope and recover from the debilitating consequences of PPD. She is a former president of Postpartum Support International and founder of Postpartum Assistance for Mothers. She has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and internationally as a guest lecturer and keynote speaker to train medical and healthcare professionals. She is well known for her popular DrShosh.com Radio Show and has appeared as a guest expert on countless television and radio shows including 20/20, The Ricki Lake Show and The Doctors.
